Poetry is what is lost
in translation.
It is also what is lost
in interpretation.

One Day I May Believe In Spring

I saw the evening sun
And thought of what I've done to get to here
And I shed a tear

It's silly, marking time
A man who's in his prime
And I feel the sting

One day I may believe in Spring

I saw the creatures of the earth
And how wonderfully diverse they used to be
And I wept uselessly
And I wondered how many do we need?
And is it just human greed that makes us want everything?

One day I may believe in Spring

And I thought about you
Now I'm just about through waiting for a call
Thinking through it all

In this whole wide world
There's nothing bigger than my love for you

Start believing, and one day I may believe in Spring

Gavin Regnart
